Participating in House Sport competitions throughout the year is a brilliant way of getting involved with sports you already enjoy, or trying something new. Your tutor group Sports Rep will coordinate teams for a variety of competitions throughout the year. Mr Callicott also gives out all information on upcoming sports on the Monday tutor slides so keep looking out for those.Â
There is a wide variety of sports, something for everyone. This year we will see all year groups participating in football, basketball and table tennis with competitions also coming up in cricket and dodgeball.
This year due to works being carried out at Brickfields, a new format was followed for Sports Day. Instead of all students attending Brickfields for the day and taking part in or watching the usual track and field events, they attended for part of the day and spent the remainder taking part in on site activities. This made the event feel more inclusive and gave all students an opportunity to take part and win house points. On site activities included Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Dodgeball, Tug of War, Table Tennis, Archery, Handball, Rounders and Esports.
A great day was had by all and Attenborough were victorious!
